Happy New Year: New Debate About Shakib

Although it is celebrated in Bangladesh on Wednesday (April 14), the first Baishakh is being celebrated in Kolkata on Thursday (April 15). Even in the Corona situation, the special day is being celebrated with much fanfare in West Bengal. On the first day of the year, the fans were greeted by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Where an animation of the biggest star of Bangladesh cricket was made and a congratulatory message was given. Shakib had to read the debate anew.

Shakib had requested not to play in the country’s jersey during the ongoing IPL tour of Sri Lanka. The spinning all-rounder then made headlines by criticizing the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in an interview on Facebook. Then again, the fear of taking part in the T20 tournament arose again. However, in the end, he reached India and played two matches.

A total of two New Year’s greetings were sent on the Knight Riders’ social media pages. Shakib is in both the posts.

Meanwhile, a total of two New Year’s greetings were sent on Knight Riders’ social media pages on Thursday. Both posts are related to Shakib.

The caption of the morning post was, ‘Happy New Year to all of you.’ In a video message, Shakib said after the Kolkata jersey, “Happy New Year to everyone.”

Bangladesh cricket fans can be seen making various comments in that post. Many have expressed their displeasure at seeing such animations in other religious genres.

On the other hand, behind Shakib in the animation, there is the spelling, ‘Happy New Year.’ Many have expressed frustration over the misspelling of the New Year.

However, the post was deleted from the Kolkata Facebook page. However, the post is on the Twitter page.
